"Rude and unprofessional"

I regularly go to the post office and my daughter likes to go in this shop to look at the toy box priced at 15p each.

Today we went in and had a look around. My daughter picked up this 1 little truck.

While I was looking around the shop assistant, a woman with short hair served many customers. One was a lady in scrubs on her lunch break. When this lady was at the till the shop assistant very rudely raised her voice at the lady in the scrubs when she got confused about the total of the things that she was buying, the shop assistant was not yelling but raised her voice enough for me to look up and rudely told her to “move” her stuff being her lunch that she had just bought at Tesco.

The next customer put their things on the till. The first thing the shop assistant said was “you do know these are 3 for a pound don’t you” (and not 15p because they were in the 15p box). In a very rude tone.

Next I went up to pay for the truck my daughter wanted. I had no cash on me and asked if she’d take card. She said “no I’m not doing that” so while I was checking pockets for loose change a man came up to the till and wanted to buy something and paid for it. While doing that he said he’d pay for the truck for us. The shop assistant said “are you sure?” With a moody expression on her face To the man and his reply was “yeah, its only 15p”. I said thank you and explained that I had been looking around and wanted nothing but my daughter really wanted the truck.

The shop assistant then threw his money back at him and said “it’s not worth the change”. Not that’s very kind of you don’t worry I let her have it for free. Just “it’s not worth the change”

(Because he wanted to pay with his change which was a £2 coin) and then just looked at me with a rude, horrible expression on her face.

As I was leaving he asked if he could leave his item here while he went into Tesco. The shop assistant was very flustered and kept tutting at the man while trying to look for somewhere for him to leave it.

I go to the post office about once a week so always have a look in this shop too but every time I have seen this woman she’s rude, impolite and never smiles. She always looks like someone has sh*t in her cereal.

She had taken someone’s good deed and nice thing to do and ruined it. Her behaviour has made me never want to go there again..
